The Children’s Garden Project Canada (TCGPC) is a child-centric, volunteer-driven not-for-profit organization based in Hamilton, Ontario. Its project in Gage Park provides a safe, fully accessible outdoor space where children can play, garden, explore nature and learn about the natural world. Children, their families and the local community help create, plant, maintain and harvest the garden, making it a hands-on, child-led experience for “Little Planters” and “Plant-Teens.”

TCGPC’s mandate is to offer free educational programming that helps inner-city, under-resourced children and families learn sustainable gardening practices and grow into environmental stewards. Through activities in the garden, participants can build practical knowledge while connecting with the land and their community. The organization also shares garden updates, stories and information about upcoming events through its monthly newsletter and event listings. Community members can get involved, support the project or connect with the team through its website and social channels. Since the garden began as an idea in 2021, volunteers, families and community partners have helped bring the inclusive outdoor learning space to life.
