Chimes vzw heeft tot doel de studenten van academisch medische centra in België een verdiept en verbreed inzicht te bieden in chirurgische disciplines. Zo zal er aansluitend op het bestaande curriculum van onze doelgroep meer uitgebreide chirurgische kennis worden verschaft en zullen verschillende chirurgische vaardigheden worden ingeoefend en/of worden verfijnd. Hiernaast hopen wij een platform te kunnen bieden aan medische studenten die overwegen om een chirurgische vervolgopleiding te kiezen om hen een beter begrip van dit specialisme aan te reiken, zodat zij reeds eerder in hun medische carrière kunnen achterhalen of de keuze voor chirurgie past bij zijn/haar interesses en kwaliteiten. Momenteel zijn wij gevestigd in Antwerpen, Brussel, Gent, Hasselt en Leuven.
