Chippin' In, also known as the Chip Bag Project, was founded in the winter of 2020 with a mission to address the pressing issue of waste from single-use mylar products, such as chip bags, pet food bags, and candy wrappers. The initiative focuses on upcycling these materials, transforming them into essential items like sleeping bags and blankets for displaced and nomadic individuals. In a remarkable effort, the project has collected 2.5 million pounds of mylar and created 100 sleeping bags, showcasing its commitment to compassionate sustainability.

Chippin' In aims to foster conversations about the circular economy, encouraging community engagement and environmental awareness. The team's dedication to social responsibility is reflected in their diverse composition, consisting of young professionals and creatives of color, who are committed to serving the economically disadvantaged communities they represent. While currently only accepting monetary donations, Chippin' In continues to inspire positive change and serve those in need through innovative and sustainable solutions.
