Chiyu Kintsugi

CHIYU KINTSUGI is a creative brand founded by Chloé and Sebastiaan, inspired by their travels and a journey of personal reflection. It helps people repair, restore and personalize everyday objects through hands-on crafts, including Kintsugi, the Japanese art of visible repair. Its bio-based Kintsugi repair kits are designed for fixing ceramic, wooden and glass items, while workshops are available at the CHIYU Studio and online.

For learners who prefer to work at their own pace, the CHIYU Online Academy offers 11 instructional videos, more than an hour of guidance, subtitles in six languages and lessons in two Kintsugi techniques. No prior experience is needed. The brand also offers Kintsewing, a visible-mending embroidery set inspired by Kintsugi. Created for beginners and experienced makers, it includes materials for practice and introduces four textile repair techniques.
