ChloDox

Chlodox is a water-treatment brand offering a stabilised chlorine dioxide solution for industrial and municipal disinfection. Unlike systems that generate chlorine dioxide as a gas, Chlodox remains in liquid form after dilution, supporting consistent performance, easier handling and storage, and a stated shelf life of up to five years. The solution is designed to work across a pH range of 4 to 9.5 and, according to the brand, can reduce chemical use by up to 90 percent.

Chlodox is used in cooling towers, boilers, mining operations, oil refineries, industrial water systems and hydraulic fracturing water. Its treatment targets bacteria, Legionella, E. coli, biofilm, fungi, waterborne viruses and chlorine-resistant organisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. The brand also describes applications for treating contaminants including lead, mercury and cyanide, improving water clarity and odour, and supporting water reuse or compliant discharge. Chlodox highlights reduced chemical handling, remote monitoring, equipment protection and a smaller environmental footprint among its operational benefits. Its website features case studies from industrial facilities and water remediation projects.
