ChoirMix is a dedicated community of composers who specialize in writing and arranging high-quality, multi-part vocal music specifically for middle school choirs. They understand the unique challenges faced by this age group and their changing voices, and their music is designed to be appropriate and accessible.

One of the standout features of ChoirMix is that all of their tunes come with part-predominant recordings, which greatly aids in faster learning during rehearsals. They recognize that sometimes there is a need to teach something quickly to fill a concert program, and their tunes fulfill that specific need. While they value the importance of site-reading for a complete music education, they also prioritize outcomes and results for choir teachers.

ChoirMix is currently in the process of putting together a fantastic team of composers. Among this team is Ken Kraintz, the originator of ChoirMix, who has an extensive background in writing and arranging instrumental and vocal music. Another noteworthy composer is Vijay Singh, a Professor of Music at Central Washington University, who has received international recognition for his compositions and arrangements, both choral and jazz.

James Kevin Gray, a graduate of Winthrop University, is yet another talented composer associated with ChoirMix. He has taught chorus on various levels and has a passion for collaborative arts movement. Norm Wallen, a product of the Seattle schools, rounds out this exceptional team. As a trombonist and music teacher, he has composed or arranged over 2,000 works and is known for his diverse and prolific repertoire.
