Editorial Cholsamaj is a brand dedicated to contextualizing and promoting educational materials for the multicultural environment of Guatemala. Established before 1990, their main goal is to disseminate writings and designs created by members of the Maya People, directed towards Guatemalan society as a whole. This nonprofit social service organization is made up of professionals and self-taught Maya individuals, with collaboration from members of other communities.

Their vision is to create a Guatemala, or Iximulew, where equal rights and obligations are ensured, and opportunities are equitably distributed among all its people and communities. Editorial Cholsamaj's mission is to systematize and promote knowledge about the history, culture, technology, languages, land tenure, and territorial administration of the Maya People, as well as other national topics such as education and democracy in multicultural states. With objectives that range from producing and disseminating educational materials to promoting multiculturalism and interculturalism in Guatemalan society, Editorial Cholsamaj has developed a unique style for their books.

This style incorporates various Mayan elements, including Mayan numerals, Mayan language in titles, and Mayan calendar dates at the beginning and end of each book. Additionally, they utilize modern technology to disseminate the ancient Mayan culture. To date, they have published over 250 titles.
