Cho Taekwon-Do Center Clube is a nonprofit cultural, recreational, and educational association based in Santa Cecília, São Paulo. Founded in 1973 by Grand Master Sang Min Cho, who introduced Taekwon-Do to Brazil, the club promotes the teaching and practice of this martial art. Its activities are open to members regardless of social class, nationality, sex, race, color, or religious belief.
The club offers Taekwon-Do classes and supports members’ physical development through sport. Its approach also emphasizes personal growth and a healthy social life, presenting the practice as a way to cultivate discipline, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, courage, humility, leadership, and a sense of justice. The organization highlights benefits including agility, physical conditioning, and the constructive release of aggression, and describes Taekwon-Do as suitable for children and young people as well as other practitioners.
Cho Taekwon-Do Center Clube also holds belt examinations and promotes events, including ITF tournaments and championships. Prospective students can contact the club to arrange a trial class.
