About CHOV RYB
Chov ryb Sedlnice is a family-run fish farm established in 2003 in Sedlnice. Developed with guidance from Czech fisheries research and academic institutions, the farm includes ponds, fish-rearing facilities and storage ponds. Its aim is to produce fish for nearby communities while creating a landscape feature in the Sedlnické sněženky protected landscape area and following ecological principles.
The farm raises fish for consumption, ornamental ponds and warm-water aquaculture. Its food fish include rainbow and salmon trout, brook trout, common carp, pike, grass carp, tench, catfish and Siberian sturgeon. Ornamental offerings include koi carp, goldfish and ide, alongside other species. It also supplies fish stock for other fish keepers and breeds warm-water species such as Nile tilapia and African catfish.
Chov ryb Sedlnice operates a year-round retail shop selling live fish, with seasonal availability of ornamental species and autumn and Christmas sales. Customers can have fish processed, arrange delivery for larger orders, or enquire about wholesale supply. The farm also offers fish-farming advice, ornamental pond construction and fisheries management services.
