Chrisanthemum

Chrisanthemum, LLC is a community-based organization established in April 2023 to support people with neurodivergent abilities in becoming active, connected community members. Founded by a parent of an autistic adult and a former special education educator, the organization addresses a gap in local support for adults developing social, recreational, and job skills after high school. Its programs also aim to encourage independence, inclusion, and acceptance.

Chrisanthemum offers in-house activities such as music, sing-alongs, crafts, weekly jokes, and step tracking to promote health and wellness. Participants also take part in community and service activities, including local parades, outdoor cleanups at churches and parks, and farmers markets where they can share crafts they have made.

The organization builds practical work skills through activities such as stocking and facing shelves, delivering goods for local businesses, and helping at food pantries. Opportunities may also develop through community partnerships. Chrisanthemum welcomes questions about participating in its program and encourages community members to get involved and help expand its activities.
