Christiane Seelig

Christiane Seelig is a master equestrian professional based in Lienen, Germany, offering riding instruction and dressage training rooted in classical riding principles. Riders can take lessons with their own horse or pony. Her teaching emphasizes the rider’s seat, balance, and influence, helping participants understand how subtle changes in body position affect a horse’s movement and response. Instruction is adapted to each horse-and-rider partnership, with clear explanations that make classical riding principles practical and perceptible.

Seelig also conducts dressage clinics and gives theoretical presentations on classical riding. Topics listed for the 2026–27 season include rider movement and its effect on the horse, the use of aids and half-halts, foundational training in rhythm, relaxation and contact, and lateral work. She is also scheduled to teach dressage and theory for a riding badge course. The website features a blog about classical horse training, information about upcoming clinics, and photographs documenting horses and riding achievements. Seelig’s services are suited to riders seeking thoughtful, individualized instruction for themselves and their horses or ponies.
