Christine Amtoft

Christine Amtoft is an anthropologist, speaker and senior-dating expert whose work explores love, dating and companionship later in life. Since 2017, she has gathered stories and insights through conversations, experiences and observation, examining how life experience, shared interests and changing priorities shape relationships among older adults. Her work brings attention to the search for romance, friendship and intimacy after 65, including the opportunities and challenges faced by people who are less familiar with digital dating.

Through talks and lectures, Amtoft discusses the rituals of dating, differences between dating in later life and in youth, expectations around romance after 70, and how community life may help people connect.
