The Christine E. Moser Foundation is a charitable foundation established by Christine E. Moser in October 1992 to continue supporting her community after her death.
Its trustees carry forward her commitment to improving quality of life by funding arts, theater, education, literacy, and community organizations, including groups she supported during her lifetime. The foundation provides grants to Connecticut nonprofits for programs and services that benefit local residents. Recent awards have supported media literacy education, adult literacy and numeracy programs, virtual arts education for underserved students, and creative opportunities for people with disabilities.
Grants have also helped libraries expand digital access and children’s activities, supported historical society resources, and funded improvements to cultural and community spaces. Past and current beneficiaries include Connecticut Public Television, Literacy Volunteers of Central Connecticut, Goodspeed Opera House, Vista Life Innovations, Friends of the Cora J. Belden Library, and Friends of Dinosaur State Park.
Through its grant process, the foundation sustains organizations working across the community and advances Moser’s belief that service can begin with simple, individual acts of help
