The Original South Tyrol Christmas Markets portal introduces visitors to the region’s festive season and its traditional Christmas markets. It highlights the five principal locations—Bolzano, Merano, Bressanone, Brunico and Vipiteno—and provides information about additional markets in towns and areas including San Candido, Chiusa, Castelrotto, Val Gardena and Glorenza. Visitors can explore market dates, opening hours, events, local traditions and practical travel guidance, including directions and parking information.

The site presents the markets as a family-friendly experience, with handmade decorations and gifts, regional food and drink, and activities for children. Featured seasonal treats include mulled wine, warm apple drinks, pretzels, ginger biscuits, strauben and strudel. The surrounding South Tyrolean towns and snow-covered Dolomites provide a scenic backdrop. The five original markets have received Green Event certification in recognition of their sustainability and environmental efforts. For the 2026/27 season, the portal also helps travelers plan accommodation by presenting hotel offers and places to stay, alongside advice on reaching the markets by public transport, train, car and other means.
