About Chronic Pain Australia
Chronic Pain Australia is the national voice for the 3. 6 million Australians who live with chronic pain. As a non-profit, non-government organization, we are dedicated to reducing the social and economic barriers faced by those living with chronic pain.
Since our establishment in 2001, we have been driven by committed volunteers who advocate for change and support for those affected by chronic pain. Our aim is to educate, connect, and support individuals who are living with chronic pain. We provide valuable resources, including videos, webinars, and podcasts, to increase awareness and understanding of chronic pain.
Additionally, our support services and moderated forum offer a safe space for individuals to connect with others who share similar experiences. One of our primary initiatives is National Pain Week, an annual awareness event that takes place in the last week of July. Through this event, we strive to raise awareness about the challenges faced by those living with chronic pain and promote Triple AAA standards of care – Awareness, Accessibility, and Affordability.
