Chrysalis House is a Lexington, Kentucky-based organization dedicated to supporting women and their families in recovery from alcohol and other drug use. Its family-centered approach combines treatment, practical skill development, and ongoing support to help clients work toward lasting change. Services begin with engagement and assessment, allowing each person to identify individual needs, strengths, and preferences and receive an appropriate level of care.

Programs include person-centered residential treatment, outpatient counseling and assessments, and aftercare for continued guidance following residential care. Chrysalis House also offers children’s services, including an onsite Prep Academy Head Start program for children from birth to age three whose mothers are receiving residential treatment or living in Serenity Apartments. This recovery housing program provides a safe environment, onsite treatment, and support for women and children transitioning from residential care.

The organization’s treatment phases focus on engagement, coping and interpersonal skills, building natural support systems, and practicing recovery skills in the community. Chrysalis House also welcomes donations to help support women and families in recovery.
