The CHS Alliance is a global alliance of humanitarian and development organizations dedicated to improving the delivery of aid. They believe that aid organizations can provide higher quality and more effective assistance by being accountable to the people they serve. At the core of their approach is the application of the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), which places people affected by crises at the center of their work.

With headquarters in Geneva and a presence in London, the CHS Alliance was formed in 2015 by merging the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) International and People in Aid. They have over two decades of experience in supporting the sector and promoting standards and good practices. The CHS Alliance collaborates with key partners such as Sphere, Groupe URD, and the Humanitarian Quality Assurance Initiative (HQAI) to provide CHS-related products and services.

By joining the CHS Alliance, organizations gain access to a community of practice, training opportunities, and support in implementing the Core Humanitarian Standard. Together, the alliance strives to create a more accountable, effective, and people-centered humanitarian and development sector
