About CHUB
University Teaching Hospital of Butare (CHUB) is the first Teaching Hospital in Rwanda, established in 1928 and located in Huye District. CHUB provides quality healthcare services, education, and conducts research according to international standards. The hospital offers a wide range of services including Neurology, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, and Surgery.
Led by Dr. Christian Ngarambe, a Consultant General Surgeon, and Acting Director General, CHUB is committed to training health professionals, conducting research, and providing technical support to the health system. The core values of CHUB include work ethics, integrity, efficiency, teamwork, care, compassion, accountability, respect, and equity.
