Founded in 2000 by North Carolina A&T State University alumnus Chuck Burch, the Chuck Burch Scholarship Fund (CBSF) supports students from the Dallas–Fort Worth area as they pursue higher education. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, CBSF helps students find college funding and understand the financial aid process. Its work reflects a commitment to making higher education more accessible and preparing young people for their futures.

Beyond scholarships, the organization provides student resources, hosts events, and builds partnerships to support students and families. Its activities include scholarship award events and a Big D to A&T send-off, while its website offers information about ways to give, partnerships, news, and upcoming events. CBSF also recognizes community members whose leadership and generosity encourage the next generation, highlighting the role of families, educators, and local supporters in student success. The fund advocates for higher education and has received recognition from high schools, colleges, and universities nationwide. Donations are tax-deductible, enabling individuals and organizations to contribute to its educational mission.
