The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust is a renowned organization established in 1965 in honor of the late Sir Winston Churchill. Its main objective is to perpetuate and honor Sir Winston's memory by awarding Memorial Fellowships, known as 'Churchill Fellowships. ' The Trust offers Australians the unique opportunity to conduct research in their chosen field overseas.

With over 4500 Fellowships awarded since its inception, the Trust welcomes applications from all walks of life, as there are no prescribed qualifications for the Churchill Fellowship award. The Trust's initiatives also include supporting and enhancing the impact of Churchill Fellows through better pre-travel preparation, national onboarding sessions, online induction and training programs, peer-to-peer mentoring, and increased engagement with Fellows and stakeholders through social media and media outreach.
