The Museum of Cider is a Hereford-based museum dedicated to exploring and preserving the history of cider, from orchard fruit to finished drink. Opened in 1981 in the former Bulmers cider factory, it continues to collect and care for objects and stories connected with cider for future generations. Visitors can explore the museum’s collection and archive, watch object-history videos, and discover exhibitions about the cultural and ecological importance of orcharding in Herefordshire.
The museum also offers tours, group visits, school and college learning, outreach activities, and lifelong learning programmes. Its calendar includes temporary exhibitions, talks, family activities and seasonal events. Visitors can also use the museum shop and tearoom, while organisations and groups can hire meeting rooms in a range of sizes.
The shop sells King Offa cider brandy, distilled by the museum between 1984 and 1994 and bottled in limited quantities by Ludlow Distillery. Run by Hereford Cider Museum Trust, the museum welcomes visitors Tuesday to Sunday
