CIE (Hong Kong) Limited is a professional lighting society established in 1982 to represent Hong Kong as a regional member of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). Founded by engineers seeking to advance the study and practice of lighting, the organisation brings together individuals and companies involved in lighting design, manufacture, measurement, maintenance, use and testing. Its work spans the science and art of light, including natural and artificial illumination, light sources, vision, photometry, colorimetry and visual comfort.

CIE (Hong Kong) provides a forum for members and the wider community to share knowledge and promote excellence in lighting. Its activities include annual professional short courses, technical seminars and visits to local and overseas lighting establishments. The organisation also produces technical publications and shares CIE reports, standards and recommendations. Through its international affiliation, it supports the exchange of information and contributes to the development of lighting standards. In Hong Kong, it has also taken part in government advisory work on lighting-related policies and energy efficiency.
