CIEL SOLIDAIRE

Ciel Solidaire is a French association dedicated to assisting and rescuing people facing hardship, poverty or distress. Its team of pilots, mechanics and rescue professionals uses aviation skills and an aircraft to support humanitarian and emergency operations in France and abroad. The aircraft can travel more than 1,500 kilometres, enabling the association to transport medical personnel, NGO and humanitarian teams, food aid, medicines, rescue equipment and telecommunications resources at short notice.

Ciel Solidaire supports organizations already working in assistance and rescue, as well as specific interventions. Its activities include aerial observation to help identify people in distress and alert authorities responsible for land or maritime rescue; logistical support through the transport of people and supplies; and the evacuation of individuals who need medical care over a long distance. The association also shares observations and gives survivors and specialists a platform to discuss situations and help anticipate future emergencies. Its reported missions include transporting 200 kilograms of medical supplies toward the Ukrainian border and humanitarian work in West Africa.
