Ciesoundtrack

Compagnie Sound Track is an artist-led association founded in 1990 and based in Chaumont, Haute-Marne. It brings together composers, musicians, visual artists, video artists and theatre practitioners in a flexible network, forming project teams through collaboration and experimentation rather than operating as a fixed company. Contemporary music is central to its work, developed alongside visual arts and digital tools to create multidisciplinary works.

The organisation supports the research, creation and presentation of new artistic projects, allowing time for exploration and exchange among participating artists. Its programme includes performances, concerts, touring productions, professional gatherings and collaborative initiatives. Projects named on its site include Eau Forte, La risée de augures, Stabat Mater Furiosa and Le Mystère des Oréades.

Sound Track also has a strong commitment to its local region, bringing contemporary art beyond conventional venues and closer to residents, particularly people in rural communities. Through activities such as workshops, residencies and community projects, the association encourages participation and dialogue between artists and local people.
