About CIGRE GCC
GCC CIGRE is a renowned organization dedicated to Electric Power Systems, offering expertise in technical, economic, environmental, organizational, and regulatory aspects. Established in 1985 as a non-profit institution under the Gulf Cooperative Council, GCC CIGRE aims to promote scientific research and studies in the field of Electricity Systems. By facilitating the exchange of engineering knowledge and information, GCC CIGRE brings together engineering personnel and technical specialists from all GCC countries to collaborate on topics related to electricity generation and high voltage transmission.
The organization's mission is to constantly advance the planning, operation, design, construction, maintenance, and disposal of power systems and HV equipment, while also addressing issues related to the protection of power systems and information systems. GCC CIGRE achieves this through conferences, meetings, and the work of permanent Study Committees, involving over 100 industry experts. Their flagship event, the annual GCC Power conference, attracts delegates from around the world and covers a multitude of topics.
