Centre of Integration For African Immigrants

CIIA-CIAI, the Centre of Integration for Immigrants, is a nonprofit organization in British Columbia that supports the economic and social integration of immigrants and the African diaspora. Based in New Westminster, it serves as a resource centre and community hub, helping people build connections and access practical support. Its mission includes empowering families, reducing social isolation among seniors, and helping community members become more self-reliant and participate in Canadian society.

The organization offers settlement and immigration assistance, citizenship application support, case management, counselling, and guidance on housing and education. Its employment services include job-search assistance, job-readiness resources, and an innovative employment and education program intended to open opportunities. CIIA-CIAI also provides computer training and language instruction in English, French, and Swahili, along with translation and interpretation services in these languages. Through its services and community activities, the organization aims to address gaps in support, including the shortage of programs for African youth in British Columbia. CIIA-CIAI is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
