About CIKOD GH
The Center for Indigenous Knowledge and Organizational Development (CIKOD) is a non-profit organization based in Ghana. Established in 2003 and registered under the Companies Code, our mission is to empower rural communities by transforming indigenous institutions and local groups into vibrant grassroots civil society organizations. At CIKOD, we believe in the power of indigenous knowledge and institutions in driving community development and empowerment.
We work in various areas of community development, with a focus on enhancing sustainable food systems, traditional health systems, natural resources management, and traditional women leadership. Our initiatives aim to foster dialogue and participatory approaches that allow rural communities to take charge of their own development processes. With our main office located in Oyarifa White House, Accra-Aburi Road, Accra, Ghana, CIKOD is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of rural communities.
