About Cilvektiesību centrs
Cilvektiesību centrs, also known as Latvijas Cilvēktiesību centrs (LCC), is an independent non-governmental organization founded in 1993. They are dedicated to promoting integration, preventing discrimination and hate crimes, addressing asylum and migration issues, and upholding basic freedoms. LCC conducts human rights monitoring, research, and policy analysis, while also providing education and legal assistance on human rights matters.
They represent clients in court and offer expert opinions to both local and foreign institutions such as the government, parliament, media, education, and judicial authorities. LCC is recognized for its significant contributions to improving the situation of national minorities in OSCE member states. They have received awards for their authoritative and objective information on human rights and ethnic issues in Latvia.
LCC is also the national support point for the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights and a member of the International Network against CyberHate
