About Cinemacaravan
CINEMA CARAVAN is a vibrant collective that embodies the spirit of "playing with the earth." Established in 2010 in Zushi, Kanagawa, Japan, it was born from the collaborative efforts of artists, musicians, and chefs, among others, who aim to bridge cultural gaps through shared experiences. The organization revitalizes local communities by partnering with regional cultures to foster creativity and connection.
CINEMA CARAVAN is renowned for organizing the annual Zushi Beach Film Festival and running CINEMA AMIGO, a cultural hub that hosts a variety of artistic endeavors. Additionally, it operates AMIGO HOUSE, a coworking space, and AMIGO INN, a lodging facility, further enriching the local landscape. The collective plays an active role in numerous art festivals and regional revitalization projects, such as the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale and the San Sebastián International Film Festival. With a commitment to experiential learning through film, art, food, and music, CINEMA CARAVAN continues to create immersive environments that engage and inspire communities both locally and globally.
