About CINSNet
The Cargo Incident Notification System (CINS) is a pivotal initiative established in 2011 to enhance safety in the liner shipping industry. Originating from a collaboration between five of the world's largest container lines—CMA-CGM, Evergreen, Hapag Lloyd, Maersk Line, and Mediterranean Shipping Company—CINS serves as a comprehensive database accessible to its 14 members. The primary objective of CINS is to gather, analyze, and report on cargo-related incidents, ensuring that potential risks, such as packing failures, are addressed promptly.
