About CIRAWA
CIRAWA is a brand dedicated to transforming agriculture in West Africa. By partnering with small-holder farmers, their goal is to improve food nutrition, local livelihoods, and ecosystem health in the region. With a team consisting of 14 partners from 9 countries, CIRAWA develops innovative agroecological practices that combine local and scientific knowledge. These practices aim to create more resilient food supply chains across Cape Verde, Ghana, Senegal, and The Gambia.
CIRAWA focuses on four key agroecological approaches: agro-waste valorisation, phytoremediation, quality seeds, and land management practices. By implementing these approaches, they aim to enhance ecosystem health, promote biodiversity, and improve climate resilience. Through their work, CIRAWA seeks to demonstrate how working with nature can lead to sustainable and thriving agricultural systems.
To stay up-to-date with CIRAWA's progress, they offer resources such as news, newsletters, and communication materials on their website. They also organize events and workshops to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration. Join CIRAWA in their mission to build a resilient and sustainable agricultural future in West Africa.
