CIRCL, the Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg, is a government-driven initiative that serves as the CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team) for the private sector, communes, and non-governmental entities in Luxembourg. With a mission to provide a systematic response facility to cybersecurity threats and incidents, CIRCL acts as a reliable and trusted point of contact for users, companies, and organizations in Luxembourg. Their expert team functions like a fire brigade, promptly and efficiently responding to suspected threats and incidents.
CIRCL aims to gather, review, report, and respond to cyber threats in a systematic and prompt manner, minimizing losses, theft of information, and service disruptions. In addition, they provide a security alert system, support ICT users in recovering from security incidents, and foster knowledge exchange in ICT security. Accredited as a CERT by TF-CSIRT Trusted Introducer and a member of FIRST, CIRCL is dedicated to maintaining a secure cyber landscape in Luxembourg
