PCB Design School

Circuity PCB, also known as the School of PCB Design, provides specialist training for people who design printed circuit boards and engineers taking on PCB design responsibilities. The organisation aims to address a skills gap in the electronics industry by sharing practical knowledge developed by experienced PCB designers across fields including telecommunications, motorsport, oil and gas safety, nuclear, defence and electric power.

Its Foundation Course introduces core PCB design practices, including layer stack definition, component library management, placement and routing, design rule checking, and preparing boards for manufacture. Further courses focus on power board design and advanced routing for complex designs, including DDR3/4, differential pairs and high-pin-count BGAs. Circuity PCB also offers Essential and Advanced EMC courses covering topics such as circuit segregation, filtering, power supply decoupling, transmission lines, signal and power integrity, and high-speed design techniques.

Courses include question-and-answer sessions, and some feature practical exercises. The school presents its training as valuable to both newcomers and experienced engineers seeking to strengthen or expand their PCB design skills.
