About CISU
Cisu is an independent association of over 270 Danish Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) that are actively involved in development work in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Serving as a platform for networking, exchange of experience, and capacity building, Cisu's mission is to improve the lives of people living in adverse circumstances. The member organizations, which include traditional development organizations, religious and diaspora groups, trade unions, political parties, and more, determine the direction of Cisu's work.
Cisu supports Danish organizations nationally and globally in their efforts to promote global justice, sustainability, and combat the causes of poverty. As a fund manager, Cisu provides resources for a diverse range of interventions and champions the common interests of its member organizations. To promote transparency, Cisu offers a world map on its website, which showcases the projects supported by its funds and the member organizations working in specific countries.
