Citizen D’Italia

Citizen D’Italia is a San Francisco-based concierge service helping individuals and families navigate Italian citizenship, passports, visas, and vital records. Founded by Louise Figlia, the practice grew from her experience researching her Italian ancestry and obtaining citizenship by descent. Since 2005, she has assisted hundreds of clients in the Bay Area, across the United States, and internationally, providing clear, organized guidance through complex documentation and consular procedures.

Services include eligibility reviews and preparation for Italian citizenship by descent (jure sanguinis), vital-record research and retrieval, translations and apostilles, and registration of births, marriages, divorces, and deaths with Italian municipalities or consulates. The service also helps prepare visa and passport applications for purposes including study, work, family reunification, elective residence, and travel. Louise brings particular familiarity with the procedures of the Italian Consulate of San Francisco while supporting clients beyond the region.

Through Citizen d’Europa, she also assists with European citizenship and residency options, including records, translations, apostilles, EU visas, and country-specific routes involving Ireland, Germany, and Greece.
