Citizen Portal is a civic information platform designed to help people follow local and national government activity and understand public records. Its tools bring together meeting records, summaries, votes, statements, and other updates so members can keep track of the issues and officials that matter to them. Users can follow topics, set up alerts, ask questions, report issues, and build watchlists of elected representatives.

The platform also highlights civic subjects such as school board updates, council votes, district meeting schedules, and stormwater fees. Citizen Portal offers its tracking features through a membership priced at $15 per month. Alongside the platform, the organization provides help and support resources, including a help center, contact options, and a way to report problems.

It also features community and affiliate programs and publishes information about its mission and policies. Citizen Portal says its meeting records and summaries are sourced from the public record, helping members see government activity more clearly and follow developments in their communities
