Citizens Concern Africa (CICOA) is a not for profit Non Governmental Organization registered by NGO Bureau in 2012. CICOA works directly with most impacted communities to support community–led initiatives and indigenous knowledge for the protection of the natural resources and improving community livelihoods. We believe solutions to curbing down climate change, environmental degradation and social injustices come from the most impacted people, and we empower them to be at the forefront of protecting the environment and bettering their lives. CICOA operates to support attainment of Sustainable Development Goals; No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Gender Equality, Clean Water and Sanitation, Affordable and Clean Energy, Reduced Inequalities, Climate Action, Life On Land, and Partnerships For The Goals), the Uganda Vision 2040, The National Development Plan (NDPIII) and Articles 38 & 39 of The 1995 Uganda Constitution. CICOA is a member of Renewable Energy Civil Society Organizations Network(RECSO), Climate Action Network Uganda (CAN-U), Civil Society Coalition on Oil and Gas(CSCO), Uganda Farmers Common Voice Network-Caritas Uganda, National Coalition for Human Rights Defenders Uganda (NHCRDS), East Africa National Networks of AIDs and Health Services Organization (EANNASO), Africa Health Optonet Association(AHOA), Delve Exchange. CICOA works with private sector, central and local government, development partners, religious and cultural institutions and communities at all levels of execution of programs and projects.

About Citizens' Concern Africa
Citizens' Concern Africa (CICOA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting for positive change. Our mission is to safeguard the planet, empower communities, and uphold human rights. We work directly with communities, local and international partners, governments, and the private sector to address environmental degradation and social injustices.
Through community-led initiatives, we aim to create a world where human rights are valued, protected, and sustained. Our achievements include training farmer groups in pest control, advocating for clean energy, educating community members on social impact assessment, and planting trees for environmental conservation. By enhancing citizens' awareness and understanding, we inspire positive change and encourage citizen action.
