City Bean Roasters is a Los Angeles-based coffee roaster with more than 35 years of experience crafting premium coffee for local customers and beyond. The company serves home coffee drinkers and businesses, offering freshly roasted beans, subscriptions, brewing gear, drinkware, espresso accessories, premium teas, nitro cold brew, branded merchandise, and raw coffee for home roasting. Its public shop also provides classes to help participants build barista skills, improve brewing techniques, and develop their coffee palate.
For business partners, City Bean offers wholesale coffee and supplies, along with private-label, co-roasting, and toll-roasting services supported by product development assistance. The team uses vintage Probat roasters to create distinctive flavors and consistent roasts. City Bean emphasizes transparent bean sourcing, humane conditions, zero waste, and environmental stability. It describes itself as democratically run, with every voice valued, and says it allocates 20% of profits to staff and 5% to worthwhile causes. Its coffee and tea are served across Southern California.
