About City Church Sheffield
City Church Sheffield is a vibrant and inclusive community made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds and different age groups, united by their love for Jesus. They believe that church is more than just a series of gatherings; it is a diverse family that worship God together and strive to spread His message of good news throughout the city, the country, and beyond. City Church Sheffield is not motivated by religious rituals or mere adherence to a schedule.
Instead, they are passionate about belonging to God's Church every day and are excited to welcome others to join them on their faith journey. They firmly believe in the biblical concept of the church as God's beloved bride and His hands and feet in this world. City Church Sheffield is committed to actively demonstrating that Jesus Christ is the ultimate source of good news for everyone.
They aim to benefit their city by inclusively reaching out to and including individuals from all areas of Sheffield. This commitment is fulfilled through multiple sites across the city, dedicated kids and youth programs, various community projects, and members actively loving and sharing their faith in everyday life. City Church Sheffield embodies four core values: being friends and enjoying God together, being empowered by the Word and Spirit, bringing the kingdom to their immediate surroundings, and reaching nations while making disciples.
The church is led by a team of six elders, each bringing their unique perspectives and life experiences to the table. In addition to these elders, City Church Sheffield has devoted leaders overseeing various areas such as the under 5s, primary school age, youth, students, and community projects. City Church Sheffield values collaboration and seeks input from partner organizations such as Christ Central Churches, Newfrontiers, Welcome Churches, and the Evangelical Alliance.
They are also a registered charitable organization with the Charity Commission. City Church Sheffield is passionate about creating a welcoming community and making a positive impact on the lives of individuals, families, and neighborhoods in Sheffield and beyond
