About Intobyte
CityMoS is a cutting-edge brand that offers a powerful tool called the City Mobility Simulator (CityMoS). Developed in 2011 as SemSim by a team of computer scientists from TUMCREATE Ltd., the simulator has evolved to become CityMoS in 2016. Initially focused on electric vehicles, CityMoS now encompasses all aspects of mobility.
Under the guidance of Prof Alois Knoll from TU Munich, the development of CityMoS continued, leading to the establishment of the Mobility in Virtual Environments at Scale (MoVES) Laboratory in collaboration with Huawei in 2021. CityMoS has transformed from a research project into a market-ready mobility simulation product. CityMoS provides accessible and high-performing tools for both industry and academia.
It can run on various environments, from regular computers to advanced high-performance clusters and the cloud. Its mission is to deliver comprehensive answers to a wide range of mobility-related questions through state-of-the-art modeling and simulation research. By enabling large-scale and multi-layered transport system evaluation, CityMoS aims to pave the way for greener and more efficient transport systems.
