City Trax

City Trax is a motorcycle training provider based at Zwartkops Raceway in Pretoria West, South Africa. Its rider academies and on-road instructors offer practical instruction and discussions on motorcycle theory and control, with the goal of helping riders become safer and more capable on the road. Training takes place in a specially prepared area at the facility, rather than on the racetrack.

Courses cater to different experience levels. Beginner training covers balance, motorcycle controls, clutch and throttle use, body position, starting and stopping, gear changes, cornering and emergency braking. Core Skills training helps riders with foundational experience build confidence and improve technique. Experienced motorcyclists can take the Advanced On-Road Riding Course, which includes emergency manoeuvres, cornering and trail braking. City Trax also offers customized one-to-one instruction tailored to a rider’s skills and goals, covering topics from slow-speed handling to road awareness.

Courses generally run for one day and include tuition, with coffee and certification included on specified courses. Dates are scheduled or arranged on request, and prerequisites vary by course.
