Fundación Ciudadanía y Desarrollo (FCD) has recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Contraloría General del Estado (CGE) to strengthen transparency, integrity, citizen participation, social control, and open government in Ecuador. The agreement focuses on implementing, monitoring, and evaluating standards in institutional processes in line with current legal frameworks and guidelines set by the Defensoría del Pueblo as the leading authority on transparency and access to public information. Additionally, the agreement promotes technical assistance and mutual support in these areas.

It is important to note that this agreement, like others signed by FCD, does not involve any financial compensation from the public institution to FCD. As the national contact for Transparency International in Ecuador, FCD continues to promote integrity, transparency, and the fight against corruption, as well as citizen participation and collaboration among different actors and sectors of society
