Civic Force is a nonprofit organization established in January 2009, dedicated to providing swift and effective disaster response in Japan through collaboration with businesses, NGOs, and government entities. Originating from the lessons learned during the 2004 Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake, Civic Force serves as a platform promoting partnership among diverse organizations to enhance disaster relief efforts.
Throughout its history, Civic Force has actively contributed to numerous disaster responses, including the devastating 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, where its rapid deployment of helicopters for emergency aid was made possible by generous public donations exceeding 100 million yen. The organization continues to adapt and innovate, evidenced by initiatives such as the "Flying Search and Medical Team 'ARROWS'" project, formed in December 2019 to ensure faster and more comprehensive support for affected communities.
