European Civic Forum (ECF) is a pan-European network of nearly 100 associations and NGOs across 29 European countries. Our network consists of big federations of associations, national platforms of NGOs, human rights organizations, and smaller groups working at the community level. We believe that associations are crucial to organize and represent citizens' needs and aspirations to institutions.

Our mission is to advocate and campaign for the defense of civic space and the recognition of civil society organizations in the policy-making process. ECF connects civil society actors transnationally and across sectors through conferences, forums, and alliances, promoting network and capacity building. We also monitor civic space across Europe and report on developments through our platforms, Civic Space Watch and Civicus Monitor.

Our efforts aim to strengthen democracy, protect people's rights, and address persistent challenges in the sector. With our offices in Brussels and Paris, our dedicated team ensures the effective implementation of our strategy and work plan.
