About Civic Action
Civic Action is an organization dedicated to driving citizen-driven transformation in Nigeria's development. As agents for change, they collaborate with civil society organizations (CSOs) to enhance their credibility and effectiveness. Their work focuses on strengthening CSOs, networks, and coalitions to improve their internal, external, and programmatic capabilities.
To create an improved operational environment for CSOs in Nigeria, Civic Action provides a platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue and fosters effective regulatory practices. They work closely with CSOs in 10 states across the country, selected from the six geopolitical zones. These states include Adamawa, Borno, Edo, Enugu, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Kano, Lagos, Plateau, Rivers, and Sokoto.
Funded by the European Union and implemented by the British Council, Civic Action's Sustainable Communities campaign is part of the ACT programme in Nigeria. They aim to promote sustainability and civic action, making a positive difference in communities. With a commitment to transparency and accountability, Civic Action is dedicated to driving meaningful change in Nigeria's development landscape
