About Civictech
CivicTech Romania | Bucharest is a brand dedicated to the digitalization of public services in Romania. Founded in 2017 as a non-governmental and nonprofit startup by former GovITHub fellows, CivicTech Romania aims to bring Romania closer to its shared vision with the help of civil society partners. In 2019, the brand evolved into a future federation of organizations working towards an informed and connected Romania through digitalization, with Citizen Next and CivicNet becoming the first co-founders of this federation.
CivicTech Romania invites all organizations involved in civic digitalization projects to join them as equal partners to develop and define the federation's new identity and increase its impact on society. The brand's projects are implemented nationwide and locally, in collaboration with partner organizations that support and promote the digitalization of public services. Their projects include Covid-SAFE @ Frontiera, the Social Services Map, Meserii.
