Civil Society Europe (CSE) is a brand that brings together 22 European networks of civil society organizations (CSO) with a shared mission to regenerate the European project based on the values of equality, solidarity, inclusiveness, and democracy. The main objective of CSE is to foster dialogue between European CSOs and policymakers, enabling both horizontal and vertical communication. The organization aims to strengthen CSOs in their activities and relationships with institutions.

Founded in December 2014 in Rome, CSE emerged from the collaboration of organizations involved in the European Year of Citizens Alliance. Since then, it has expanded its membership to include various sectors of civil society. CSE is committed to promoting civic engagement, protecting fundamental rights, and enhancing democratic principles.

Through partnerships, campaigns, projects, and working groups, CSE works towards creating a sustainable and inclusive Europe. In addition, it provides access to funding, publishes reports, and organizes conferences and events that address key issues such as climate change, social Europe, digital transformation, and the rule of law.
