About The Museum of Civilian Voices
"Museum of the Voices of the Peaceful" is home to the world's largest collection of stories from peaceful individuals affected by Russia's war against Ukraine. Founded by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the museum's mission is to collect, organize, and share these stories for a better understanding of life during wartime, in pursuit of a brighter future. The museum aims to become the world's largest archive of stories from peaceful individuals impacted by conflict in Ukraine, providing a credible source of information and a unique psychotherapeutic project to promote the psychological well-being of Ukrainians who have experienced war trauma.
Through the collection of firsthand stories since the onset of the conflict in 2014, the museum captures the tragedies of all Ukrainians. These authentic stories, shared with permission, offer a profound insight into the experiences of individuals in conflict zones. "Preserving the past and present for a better future" is the museum's slogan, reflecting its commitment to ensuring that the voices of the peaceful are not forgotten
