En Janvier 1998, Mr Hédi DJILANI, Président de l'UTICA ( Union Tunisienne de l'Industrie, du Commerce et de l'Artisanat ) crée le CJD, Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants d'entreprise de Tunisie en collaboration avec le CJD France et ce dans le but de préparer la jeune entreprise tunisienne à relever le défi de la mondialisation. Le CJD est alors à la fois : une organisation relevant de l'UTICA qui soutient dans un cadre global et non sectoriel, les intérêts spécifiques des jeunes dirigeants. un mouvement appartenant à un réseau international de JD, fédéré autour d'une mission et de valeurs communes visant l'amélioration de performance du JD et celle de son entreprise.
