About Construction Junction
Construction Junction is a Pittsburgh nonprofit dedicated to promoting conservation through the reuse of building materials. By salvaging and selling used, surplus, and historic materials, the organization helps divert reusable goods from landfills, encourage sustainable building practices, and provide affordable options for homeowners, builders, designers, makers, and DIY enthusiasts.
Its 30,000-square-foot warehouse offers thousands of items, with a selection also available online. Products include appliances, cabinetry, doors, hardware and tools, lighting, plumbing supplies, reclaimed tile, windows, furnishings, and specialty goods. Construction Junction also features a curated collection of salvaged lumber and urban wood, as well as The Attic, a department for clothing, accessories, and home goods.
People can donate usable items or make financial contributions to support the mission. The organization provides recycling and deconstruction services, along with drop-off and pickup planning. Construction Junction also builds community through events, facility tours, volunteer opportunities, repair cafés, and workshops. Located on North Lexington Street in Pittsburgh, it combines a reuse retail destination with practical services and educational activities that support local sustainability efforts.
